The elegant Danish mid-century extra-large rosewood extension table was most likely manufactured by Sorø in the 1960s and designed by Henning Kjaernulf. This piece exemplifies the craftsmanship and functional characteristics of Scandinavian modern design. The table’s diameter is 125 cm, and with the use of 3 additional leaves, its width can be 175, 225, or even 275 cm! The table features a beautifully grained rosewood top with a warm tone and smooth finish, resting on solid wood legs with refined, minimalist proportions. It includes 3 additional leaves (each 50 cm wide), allowing the table to extend to the impressive 275 cm! Where one can comfortably sit with eight people. The extension mechanism operates smoothly, and there is a support leg that automatically unfolds when multiple extension leaves are in use. Additional dimensions: Total height 73 cm, Height to apron: 64 cm. The table has been renovated. The surface has been carefully refinished with new layers of satin lacquer, revealing the depth of the rosewood grain. The extension mechanism has been checked and works properly. This piece remains in excellent vintage condition with minor signs of use. A couple of dings on the main tabletop remained. An original manufacturer’s label with the instruction: "Once the table is fully unfolded, it must rest on all three pegs." has been preserved.
