Danish rosewood extension table, 1960s

This refined Danish mid-century rosewood extendable table was manufactured in the 1960s and exemplifies the elegance and craftsmanship characteristic of Scandinavian modern design. The table diameter is 120 cm, and when fully unfolded, it is 220 cm long. The length with one additional leaf is 170 cm, and the table is 73 cm high. The table is crafted from richly grained rosewood, showcasing deep tones and beautifully patterned veneer that highlight the natural beauty of the material. The table has two extensions. Both have an apron and a slightly different patterned veneer. The extended table creates a beautiful oval shape. Every part of the tabletop has carefully shaped solid rosewood molding. The table has been renovated. The surface has been carefully refinished with new layers of satin lacquer, revealing the depth of the rosewood grain. The extension mechanism has been checked and works properly. This piece remains in excellent vintage condition with absolutely minor signs of use.
