Modernist extendable bookends in brushed stainless steel and red 1970's

Bookend with spring action. One end is a flat panel, the other a spring to hold the books in place. Produced in England in the 1970s. Some traces of rust on the painted metal part. Red. Rare and timeless object. Width 5 cm. Height 6 cm.
