Spherical fibreglass planter, DLG Willy Guhl, 1960s

Maison Lecan presents this spherical planter made of fibreglass cement from the 1960s-70s, in the spirit of outdoor pieces designed by Willy Guhl. Its strong point is the patina. Decades spent outdoors have left a raw, grainy material, speckled with lichens. This cannot be manufactured; it takes time. The shape is simple: an almost perfect sphere, with an opening of 19 cm. It finds its place in the garden, on a terrace, or indoors on a low pedestal with a single graphic plant. Kept in its original condition, without restoration.
