Eight English hollow plates Johnson Bros "Mill Stream"

Set of 8 hollow plates in fine earthenware ("ironstone") from the "mill stream" service of johnson brothers. Blue transfer décor on a creamy white background: countryside scene rich in details rendered with finesse, representing a hamlet around a mill near a stream; abundant blooms on the edge and on the marli. Manufacture anglaise ("made in england by johnson bros"). Beautiful quality, to which we recognize the productions of johnson brothers. In very good condition: no accidents, almost no scratches of use; a plate has a few stains on the reverse and fine normal cracks of the enamel (see photos), without swearing to his companions. A beautiful set, in quite exceptional condition, in the pure tradition of the "transferware" blue & white english. Diam. 22 cm., h 4 cm.
