Set of 6 fine earthenware soup plates, Petrus Regout Royal Sphinx Maestricht, "Cambridge Old England" decor. Blue on white monochrome decor in the spirit of English transferware: finely detailed country scenes and romantic landscapes, framed with floral and architectural motifs. Dutch manufacture ("made in Holland"). In very good condition. Traces of pernettes visible on the reverse (normal). Rare and very light scratches from use, (barely) visible against the light. Some light chips on the reverse under the edge or on the heel. See detailed photos. Beautiful color, very shiny enamel. Diam. 24 cm, h 4 cm.
