Modernist 50s oak metal desk

Antique small desk in oak and gilded oak veneer, with its black lacquered metal square section base from the 50s, of modernist inspiration. Very close to the creations of Pierre Paulin for Thonet of the time, we love the very worked details of the top with its slightly rounded oak sockets. The design (graphic aspect of the whole) is reinforced by the second graphic line parallel to the top, which gives beautiful volumes to the whole and highlights the drawers. The black metal handles are reminiscent of those used on Paulin's CM141. Very good general condition, patina of use.
