Magnificent set of 4 chairs model 420 by Harry Bertoia for Knoll, designed in the 1950s. These welded steel wire chairs, iconic of the 50s, are a cornerstone of Harry Bertoia's creations. This vintage model is distinguished by the assembly between the basket and the base. The particularity of the two-tone chair is to show, through the difference in colours, the contrast between the base and the seat. The geometry of the wires gives the chair a very graphic appearance on an industrial base. This original series is in very good vintage condition, with no rewelds or damage to report. However, they do show signs of wear related to time and their long life, visible in the photos.
