This planter, called a "chalmont vase", is a glazed earthenware piece (slip) made by the fives lille factory, directed by antoine gustave de bruyn. It was made after a design by hector guimard, a famous art nouveau architect. Dating from the late 19th or early 20th century, it has a green crackled glaze with a blue interior. The vase is distinguished by its four stylized plant handles, inspired by thistles. Height: 21cm diam: 32 cm it is in good condition.
