A vintage centrepiece, sculptural and rich in reflections. I am selling this splendid glazed ceramic vase (majolica or flambe stoneware style), dating from the 1960s/1970s. An object with a strong visual character, perfect for adding a retro, bohemian, or mid-century chic touch to your interior. This piece of table art stands out for its superb work of shapes: a flared neck with beautifully scalloped edges in a corolla, a bulging body with flutes, and two stunning twisted bicoloured handles that shape its amphora silhouette. The flambe glazing is a true technical success: on a very shiny chocolate brown background, rich thick drips of frothy white and turquoise green flow along the relief, contrasting with the ochre yellow neck. A piece of very beautiful luminosity. Height: 21 cm. Width (with handles): 16 cm. Depth: 18 cm. Overall good condition. The ceramic is sound and has excellent stability. Please note: a small usage chip is present on the outer edge of the scalloped neck (perfectly visible in the detail photo). This small classic glaze skip on these old earthenware pieces is a testament to its history and does not detract from its incredible decorative presence. Careful and very protected postal shipping, hand delivery possible within a 20 km radius of Amiens.
