Corner sofa in light wood and fabric, Italy, 1950s What stands out the most in this low corner bench are the cutouts in the structure and the 9 straight, tapered, square stiletto legs, so typical of this period in Italy. As you can see, the backrest is optional and was probably designed later to provide additional comfort. At the time, these sofas were mainly used for very practical purposes, like a quick coffee or pasta. This sofa works very well in a corner, of course, but strangely, this rectangular sofa also works very well in the middle of a room, for example with a round table and two chairs. It gives you the opportunity to join others and easily slide onto the sofa. We have this setup here in the gallery, and if you're interested, we can send you a photo. The fabric is still quite usable and in good condition, but reupholstering is always an option. Dimensions Width: 148 cm Height: 48 cm
