Charles Zublena, French post-war boom furniture

Charles Zublena is a French designer and manufacturer active in the 1950s and 60s, whose production of furniture in light wood and formica fits within the great tradition of French social furniture of the Reconstruction. Closely linked to the publisher ZOL (Zublena Outillage Léger), he signed tables, chairs and bookshelves intended for modest households and collective establishments of the post-war boom. A democratic production today rediscovered by collectors for its formal simplicity and robustness.
