Large vintage shell dish in shiny silver metal

A breath of seaside air blown into the silverware. This large shell-shaped dish combines majesty and poetry, ideal for adorning a table or holding pretty treasures. Silver-plated metal worked in relief, wavy border and baroque floral decoration on the top. Light and generous piece with old charm. Probably mid-20th century, found in Normandy. Use as a centerpiece, to serve fruit or petits fours, or diverted into a pocket emptier in a theatrical entrance. Good general condition with some signs of oxidation, which contribute to its authenticity. Dimensions: 29cm X 36cm X 4cm.
