Set of six dining chairs model 75 in solid teak, designed in 1954 by Niels Otto Møller and manufactured by J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik in Højbjerg, Denmark. Møller founded the workshop in 1944 and made it one of the most renowned chair manufacturers in Scandinavia. The model 75 is considered his greatest success and the archetype of the Danish dining chair: lightweight, comfortable, and of exceptional craftsmanship. Its wide, sculptural, curved backrest rests on slightly flared rear legs and pleasantly envelops the back. The slender, rounded legs are connected by delicate stretchers. The seat is hand-woven in Danish paper cord – a material synonymous with lightness, comfort, and great longevity. Each chair bears the original manufacturer's brand under the seat. The chairs have been carefully cleaned, oiled, and freshly varnished; the solid teak displays a warm and lively grain. The six seats have been completely re-woven in Danish paper cord. Condition: very good vintage condition – wood cleaned, oiled, and freshly varnished, seats re-woven. A rare complete set of six chairs of this classic for discerning dining rooms. Dimensions: approx. 50 × 47 × 75 cm, seat height 44 cm (width × depth × height)
