Mid Century Louis XV style cage chandelier - 6 arms - Brass and Crystal. The chandelier features a distinctive three-sided cage-style upper structure, lavishly decorated with hanging faceted crystals that create an elegant architectural silhouette. In the centre of the cage is a delicate cut glass prism and at the bottom of the cage hangs a faceted crystal ball. From the decorative lower finial extend six graceful scrolling arms, each enhanced with intricate acanthus leaf detailing and finished with delicate leaf-shaped candle pans. The original card candle drips remain in place and show gentle wear and natural discolouration, adding to the chandelier’s authentic vintage character and period appeal. The chandelier is suspended from a seven-link chain, bar and decorative ceiling fitter. An impressive array of faceted crystals in varying sizes adorns the piece, catching and reflecting the light beautifully to create a soft, sparkling glow. Presented in very good condition with light wear consistent with its years. The candle drips show some age-related marks and wear, adding to the authentic character and charm of this beautiful vintage piece. The beautiful crystals are in good overall condition with no cracks, showing only minor nibbling to some edges consistent with age. We take great care in packing our crystal chandelier but on occasion some my work loose and it is down to you to rehang them which is usually a simple process.
