Imposing coffee table from the 1950s, stemming from Brazilian folk art, distinguished by its brutalist aesthetic and deeply sculptural character. Probably designed from an old heavy agricultural element (cart or mill wheel), its large circular top, measuring 102 cm in diameter, is assembled from thick planks of solid exotic wood, most likely Peroba or Jatobá. These tropical woods, known for their extreme density and robustness, offer a richly brown-reddish patina. The passage of time has highlighted the deep grain of the material, while the surface remains rhythmically adorned with square-headed wrought iron nails and primitive geometric cutouts. The whole exudes a brutalist strength. Ideal for integrating into a wabi-sabi, contemporary, or modernist interior, this characterful coffee table will bring an organic, warm, and unique touch to a beautiful living space. A true work of folk art, a testament to raw and timeless craftsmanship, weighing approximately 40 kg and perfectly stable and sound. Dimensions: Diameter 102 cm X Height 39 cm. Ref LDP: 20260617-001.
