Mid-Century Modern Swedish "Green Contours" Vintage Abstract Landscape Oil Painting, Framed

A brilliantly executed and richly textured modernist landscape oil composition, signed by the established swedish artist max gregor carlsson (1914-1996), whose works have been exhibited in public collections including the malmö museum, eskilstuna art museum, ystads museum, norrköping city collection, the landskrona konsthall. Containing elements of abstraction, the artist has skilfully captured the essence of rolling hills and a dense forest, simplifying and reducing the scene down to planes of limited contrasting colours, and using bold black outlines and green to define the contours of the natural elements.
