You will become an absolute fan of this artist after purchasing some of his works. From 1900 to 1950, he was able to capture moments of warm intimacy shared by his regulars in famous or lesser-known cafés. From the famous "sénéquier" café in st tropez via the lesser known "craktie" bar, he succeeds in a profusion of "removed" brushstrokes in restoring unique atmospheres at a time when social cohesion and good humor were built thanks to the good times spent together at the café. His mixed technique never ceases to amaze me. His talent is complete and smacks of bohemianism. Gouache and watercolor are his two mediums. The apparent anarchy of his brushstrokes never ceases to amaze us, such is the precision of the scenes. An artist to be rediscovered in all eras.
