Charming work or sewing table with drop leaves in solid walnut, likely dating from the mid-19th century, in the tradition of the Louis XVI style reinterpreted by the Louis-Philippe and Napoleon III periods. The rectangular top is flanked by two drop leaves on the sides, offering a work surface that can be adjusted according to needs. The body of the piece features two front drawers elegantly adorned with brass knobs, adding a refined golden touch to the whole. The four legs are undoubtedly the highlight of this piece: beautifully turned in a beaded design at the top, then fluted at the bottom, they rest on delicate small turned feet. A lower shelf connects the whole and includes an additional drawer, both practical and elegant. The solid walnut reveals beautiful natural grains and a warm, golden-amber patina, characteristic of 19th-century furniture. Some traces of woodworm, signs of wear, and slight restorations attest to the authenticity and age of the piece, sold as is. A characterful piece, full of charm, ideal for adding a touch of authenticity to a classic or vintage interior. Dimensions: H 69 cm × W 52 cm – Weight: approximately 5 kg.
