Chair by André Sornay, Lyon France

Chair designed by André Sornay, a major figure in Lyon design and a pioneer of self-assembly furniture, designed towards the end of the 1950s. Made of solid ash, it rests on straight-shank legs, the signature of the construction system patented by Sornay. The seat is upholstered in a cream bouclé fabric, providing comfort and softness, while the veneer backrest structures the whole with refinement. Simple lines, noble materials and technical ingenuity characterize this piece, ideal for an elegant interior, whether contemporary or more classic.
