Painting fixed under glass icon of the Virgin Mary of Vladimir

Very beautiful old painting called "Fixed under glass" 19th century representing the Virgin Our Lady of Vladimir also called Virgin of Vladimir or Vladimirskaya, it is one of the most venerated Orthodox icons. The colors are particularly beautiful. Approximate measurements with frame: 50 cm X 41 cm. Very good condition. Painting under glass, or "fixed under glass", consists of carrying out the painting work on the back of a glass plate. One of the difficulties of the process is to paint the reverse pattern. The fixed under glass offers a very beautiful shine to the hand-painted colors.
