Mineral religious statuette

Charming statuette representing a religious with his prayer book. This statue questions, as much by the unrealistic proportions of the body as by the position of his head held in his hand, one would almost think that he is sorry for what he sees. Not being a specialist, I have trouble identifying the material (natural or recomposed stone, plaster?) and if it is a molding or a sculpture but the material is quite soft and fragile. The details are fine, including the folds of her clothing and her hair. At the back the material was left raw, grainy. It is in good general condition, no cracks or repairs, but has some small damage: a small chip on his left index finger, a small chip on his garment on the same side and chips on the base (the most important is on the back corner so not very visible). I left it in its juice, barely dusted to leave its patina, it's up to you to see if you want a more important cleaning. It measures 22 cm in height, the base measures 6.5 cm by 5 cm. It weighs about 700 g.
