Charming lady's dressing table in walnut, from the Louis XVI period, resting on four tapered and fluted legs, characteristic of the neoclassical taste of the late 18th century. Its ingeniously designed top opens in three parts. The central retractable mirror lifts using a perfectly functional mechanism, while the two side flaps reveal storage compartments intended for toiletry and sewing accessories. An elegant decorative fabric adorns the back of the central compartment. The façade is embellished with rich moulding and delicate floral carvings. It opens with a central drawer decorated with a leafy frieze, framed by four small side drawers. The lock entries and the pull knobs in gilded bronze harmoniously complete the ensemble. The piece exhibits beautiful craftsmanship with carefully selected walnut veneer, offering a warm grain and a pleasant patina. Period: Louis XVI, late 18th century.
