Oil on canvas entrance of the port christophe charpides

Magnificent oil on canvas of a port entrance certainly in brittany, highlighted by a beautiful montparnasse setting signed by christophe charpidès (1909-1992). Christo charpidès was born in samos (greece) in 1909. He settled in paris in the 1930s, then married the daughter of the painter henri-jacques delpy. He lived in montmartre, near the "bateau-lavoir". In paris, from 1939 to 1943, he exhibited landscapes, especially from paris, at the salon des artistes indépendants. His favorite themes were paris, brittany and greece. The painting out of frame is 50.3 cm long by 61.5 cm high, with its frame 63 cm long by 74 cm high.
