Very pretty stoneware bowl, decorated in its center with a hollow-carved flower, with a magnificent enamel mainly light gray, enhanced with a beautiful green inside and brown on the carvings (flower and rim chiseled with dots). This bowl is the result of beautiful artisanal work of turning, carving and enameling by the ceramist albert thiry (signature in felt pen underneath). Thiry's ceramics with this star flower motif, much less common than the thistle for example, are very difficult to find. Albert thiry settled in vallauris in 1943, he first worked in different workshops, notably that of charles voltz, before creating with his wife pyot gavaudan their own workshop in the early 60s, still in vallauris. This bowl dates from the 60s or 70s, it is in perfect condition, no cracks, no chips, not even a chip. It measures 15 cm in diameter and 5 cm in height.
