Pair of antique Provençal armchairs from the late 19th century.

Beautiful pair of antique turned wooden armchairs, in rustic/French provincial style, dating presumably from the 19th century. Very fine traditional construction with: numerous turned spindles on the backs, solid wood armrests, richly turned legs and stretchers, a lovely slightly curved front stretcher with openwork decoration, and old seats made of woven plant material in a radiating pattern. Beautiful wood patina and a lot of character. A particularly decorative set, ideal for an old house, a chic country decor, or to add an authentic touch to a contemporary interior. The seats show wear consistent with their age but remain very aesthetic. Sold only as a pair. Dimensions: height 93 cm, width 61 cm, depth 50 cm, seat 53 X 49, height 40 cm.
