Victor Demanet (1895-1964). Ancient archer. Sculpture in green patinated bronze, signed on the terrace, base in black and white veined marble. (an archer's restoration) Top. Total: 65 cm – width: 76 cm – depth: 20 cm. Victor Joseph Ghislain Demanet, born in Givet on February 3, 1895 and died in Ixelles on February 7, 1964, is a Belgian sculptor and medalist. A student of Désiré Hurbin, member of the Salon des Artistes Français, Victor Demanet obtained an honorable mention there in 1925 and exhibited there in 1929 the plaster work of His Majesty King Leopold II, statue erected in Namur1, in Arlon, statue of Albert I. He won a bronze medal at the 1935 show.
