Description
“i think it is possible to develop an art based largely on mathematical thinking, ” he wrote. An important typographer and graphic designer, he was born on december 22, 1908 in winterthur in switzerland and studied at the kunstgewerbeschule in zurich from 1924 to 1927, then with wassily kandinsky and paul klee at the bauhaus school in dessau the following two years. Then, he co-founded the ulm school of arts and crafts, where he directed the architecture and product design departments in the 1950s. Displays in excellent condition, small traces of time.
