Dark Brown East German Planter with Floral Motif in the Style of Khokhloma

A unique dark brown ceramic planter pot to grow your flowers or plants in. We found this lovely piece in a town on the border of germany and poland and think it was likely made in east germany in the 1960s or 70s. It features a hand-painted floral motif and has a gritty handmade texture in the glaze. There is no mark on the bottom of the base, which makes it challenging to link this beautiful pot to a specific maker. The floral motif with red dots that may depict red berries also is reminiscent of khokhloma, a russian style of folk art. 11 cm tall, 14.5 cm wide at the mouth, 7.8 cm wide at the foot. Weighs 810 gram. In excellent condition, without any chips or other damages.
