Cascade floor lamp by Star-Leuchten, brass, 1970s

A stunning vintage design classic from the German manufacturer Star-Leuchten. With its spiralling arrangement of 13 light arms, this sculptural cascade lamp brings pure Space Age charm to any living room – a real eye-catcher. The lamp can be dimmed using the foot switch to adjust the light intensity to your preference. The light arms are screwed into the central column and each holds an E27 socket in the ring at their end. Beneath the round base plate is a cast-iron ring, which we have fitted with felt to protect the floor. As can be seen in the photos, three of the old 40-watt globe bulbs no longer work. We have chosen not to replace them (they are still available on eBay, for example), so that the new owner can decide for themselves whether to convert the lamp entirely to energy-saving LEDs or to use the old bulbs. The lamp has been checked by an electrician for functionality and safe operation. It is in good original condition. The brass shows age-related tarnish – an honest and authentic patina for this vintage piece. Two of the lamp arms are slightly bent.
