Vintage nightstand Jacques Hitier (1950s)

I am selling this authentic bedside table, an iconic piece by the French designer Jacques Hitier. A major figure in post-war French design, Jacques Hitier trained at the prestigious École Boulle. He revolutionised 1950s furniture by combining the sturdiness of tubular metal (his specialty) with the finesse and warmth of wood. His work, often published by Tubauto or Mobilor, is now highly sought after for its airy, elegant, and timeless appearance. Design: Black tubular metal structure, wooden top and drawer. A typical blend of his modernist style that adds a lot of character. Condition: Very good condition / some normal signs of use for its age, one corner of the drawer has been repaired, see photo, the metal has been refurbished. Dimensions: 68cm / 30cm / 38cm.
