Gilded wooden statuette representing a standing buddha with hands along the body (symbol of benevolence and compassion), size 21cm high X 4cm wide X 3cm thick. Packaged weight 150g. 19th century work from burma province shan. The toes are missing, the statuette having had to be torn from its base. Key words: asia burmese buddhism bodhisattva.
