The Dutch painter Adolf Philippus van Dijk (1859-1924) signed his initials "A. Van Dijk" and also used the signature "V. Dyke". He made a mark in the art world with his unique Impressionist style and contributions. He enjoyed working outdoors and lived and worked in Oegstgeest from 1900.
