Original abstract painting – mineral composition – Nicolas de Stael

Original abstract painting created with acrylic on paper, measuring 18 X 24 cm, in a style reminiscent of the universe of Nicolas de Staël. The composition is constructed through the layering of broad strokes and irregular shapes. A deliberately muted palette blends off-white, pearl grey, beige, dull blue, plum, and a few very dark accents. The coloured masses interlock with one another and can evoke architecture, a city, or a mineral landscape, while allowing for free interpretation. The differences in texture and the traces of the brushwork add significant depth to this small format. A sober and contemporary piece, particularly easy to pair with natural materials, wood, stone, or minimalist decor. Dimensions: 18 X 24 cm. Technique: acrylic on paper. Original work – unique piece. Beautifully presented with a wide white mount and a frame in natural wood, walnut, or black. Sold unframed.
