Original abstract painting – urban composition – dlg Nicolas de Stael

Original abstract painting on paper, measuring 22.5 X 15.5 cm, evoking the universe of Nicolas de Staël. The composition is built through the layering of small patches and touches of material in a muted palette of off-whites, greys, blacks, beiges, and a few more vibrant accents, including a deep red. The overall effect suggests an urban landscape or architecture viewed from a distance, straddling abstraction and suggestion. The contrast between the lighter upper part and the density of the lower part of the composition adds a great deal of rhythm and depth to this small format. A work that is both understated, modern, and sensitive, easy to integrate into a contemporary, minimalist, or warmer interior. Dimensions: 22.5 X 15.5 cm. Technique: painting on paper. Original work – unique piece. Very beautifully presented with a wide white mount and a natural wood, walnut, or black frame. Sold unframed.
