Double-sided walnut counter desk 1900

Antique double-sided desk with a double pedestal topped with a large walnut top adorned with a geometric border and inlays. We love the undeniable elegance of this piece, with its very noble wood and graphic details featuring inlays in the wood. The pedestal has four drawers with locks and original keys on each side. The pedestal also has two other panelled sides and lovely mouldings around the drawers. A wide plinth finishes the pedestal. Two legs with inlays create beautiful lines. The top of the surface has a small old crack in the middle, a minor flaw inherent to its great age. There is a patina of use and possible defects in the wood in places; please refer to the numerous photos. The desk can be disassembled into several parts - the pedestal, the top, and the legs, all of which are fixed using screws and nuts. - Total dimensions - L 200 X D 140 X H 78.5 cm. Thickness of the top 4 cm. Dimensions of the drawers - L 35 X D 56 X H 10 cm. Height under the frieze - 68 cm. Usable width between the legs - 136 and 117 cm.
