Openwork ceramic basket – Vallauris – 1950s/60s. Charming decorative basket in openwork ceramic with a stunning glossy emerald green finish. Its design mimics a woven basket with a very graphic relief work, characteristic of Vallauris productions from the 1950s-1960s. The centre features a lovely woven pattern, and the relief border evokes basketry, adding to its charm. This piece can be used as a centrepiece, a catch-all, or a decorative basket. The basket is not stamped, which is common for some artisanal productions from Vallauris during this period. Condition: very good for its age. Note two very slight discreet chips, visible up close, which are consistent with the age of the piece and do not detract from its overall aesthetic. Colour: glossy emerald green. Period: 1950s-1960s.
