1950s Belgium Val St Lambert Purple Glass Table Lamp

1950s mid century belgium val saint lambert, hand blown, purple and clear crystal glass, table lamp which includes a new purple silk shade. The lamp is a striking deep purple towards the base becoming clearer towards the top. Each corner of the square base flares upwards with thick clear contrasting glass on each corner. The lamp base is fitted with an antique brass mounted light fitting which includes a built in on/off switch which is hidden under the shade. The silk flex feeds through the centre of the lamp and exits the base through a hole in the centre. The lamp doesn't have its original foil val st lambert manufacturers label but is signed on the base. Perfect for a bedside light or in a living room setting. Pat tested, rewired with a dark brown silk flex and is in full working order. In very good vintage condition with some surface scratches on the base commensurate with its age and past use. Dimensions to the top of the fitting: h: 41cm w: 10cm d: 10cm. Height to the top of the shade: 54cm.
