Antique 19th century "nest" plate

Antique plate, "NEST" model – Carouge Pottery – Dortu & Cie (D & C). Very beautiful antique plate in fine earthenware, signed D & C for Dortu & Cie, manufacturer of the famous Carouge Pottery (Switzerland). This piece dates from the second half of the 19th century (circa 1870–1890). The "NEST" model presents a magnificent bucolic scene in blue-green printing: birds in flight and in their nest, surrounded by flowers and foliage in a very romantic setting. Ideal for collectors or wall decoration. 📍 Rare and decorative piece, typical of the Swiss production of Carouge in the 19th century. Good general condition for a piece of this age. Visible glaze cracks (natural cracks related to time), chips on the back. Dimensions: Length 27.5cm width 24cm Estimated dating: Circa 1870-1890.
