Very beautiful pair of wall sconces with a single light from the Art Nouveau period, from the Parisian house Charles Ranc. Made of bronze. Gilding and patina in very good condition. The Charles Ranc house was founded in 1909 by Charles Eugène Frédéric Ranc, originally from Ardèche, at 64 rue de la Folie Méricourt in Paris. Renowned for the quality of its bronzes and the finesse of their chiseling, this Parisian house developed a beautiful production of decorative lighting. After the death of its founder, his sons continued the business under the name Ranc Frères. In 1930, the house moved to 97 rue Oberkampf in Paris. The wall parts represent peacocks with widely spread feathers, whose elegant lines and naturalistic motifs are characteristic of Art Nouveau. The claws are adorned with acanthus leaves. The sconces bear the stamp "CR" on the back, corresponding to the initials of Charles Ranc (see last photo). They come with amber glass tulips, of recent manufacture. Note a tiny chip on one petal (see second to last photo, highlighted in blue). Electricity installed and tested, with new wires (for E14 bulbs). Careful packaging assured. Delivery via Colissimo Recommandé to your home. Dimensions: Height: 30.50 cm. Width: 14.20 cm. Depth with tulips: 21.00 cm. Diameter of tulips: 11.00 cm. Total weight: 2.70 kg.
