Produced in Sweden around the 1980s, this "telefonbänk" (telephone bench)—famously known as a gossip chair—strictly interprets Scandinavian design principles based on functionality, balanced proportions, and material quality. The wooden structure features a clean geometric silhouette originally designed to host a landline telephone and provide a comfortable seat for home conversations. The piece showcases a practical single-drawer storage module on one side, while the adjoining section houses a comfortable seat with a padded cushion that has been recently upholstered in a light-colored fabric.
