Desk by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli, Italy, around 1970.

Desk designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Castelli in Italy in the 1970s. This model features a long rectangular top in light laminate with widely rounded corners, highlighted by a contrasting black edge. The structure rests on a polished aluminum base composed of two vertical supports connected by a central crossbar, each extending into a flared leg. On the left side, a suspended cabinet in light lacquered metal with curved corners houses two drawers, one of which locks. The rectangular black metal handles accentuate the graphic contrast of the whole. The design combines simplicity of lines, functionality, and industrial materials characteristic of Italian office furniture from the 1970s. Edition: Castelli, Italy, circa 1970.
