Bronze fish candlestick

Antique candlestick featuring a stylised dolphin (or fantastic fish) in bronze. A classic model from the Napoleonic III era (late 19th century), designed in chiselled gilded bronze. It consists of a richly decorated square base resting on four ball feet, topped with a central shaft depicting a dolphin with finely detailed scales. The base and candle holder are also adorned with interwoven fish. Some marks on the base, the structure is solid and the gilded colour has a magnificent patina. Details in the photo. Base dimensions: 10.8/10.8cm. Height: 21.5cm.
