19th century camphor campaign trunk

Late 19th century camphor campaign trunk. A solid camphor brass bound traveling chest, this would have been used for carrying expensive clothing or silk in the late victorian period, this chest is the more desirable double lock version although it has tree locks the center french lock has been added later unfortunately we don’t have any of the keys. The chest has been fully restored with pieces of camphor wood spliced in and some replacement brass and had a full clean and wax polished. Age: 1860. Style: antique campaign furniture. Material: camphor. Origin: english. Condition: fully restored. Restoration; matched timber spliced into front, some brass replacement, fully cleaned and wax polished. Dimensions: 46h X 99w X 47d cm.
