Vase Jug "Free Form" Raku and Wormy Wood (1960/70)

Artistic ceramics from the 60s-70s, interesting for its play of contrasting textures, organic design, and complexity of reliefs. Beautiful elongated handle merging with the base and its slanted pouring spout. The top: Cracked white glaze (Japanese Raku technique), glossy finish. The base: Hyper-realistic sculptural work in trompe-l'œil ceramic imitating dead wood, worm-eaten as if attacked by insects, hard, matte, and detailed texture. Very good condition. Height: 25 cm. Width: 12 cm.
