Architect's table with systems, known as "sun table", made of solid walnut, late 19th to early 20th century. This small table is a little gem, as beautiful as it is playful and practical. Resting on four thick legs mounted on original castors, it can be moved with a finger in a room. The beautiful central leg contains a hydraulic mechanism that allows the top to be raised or lowered from 76 cm to 108 cm. It then secures with a lovely brass screw. The top itself adapts to all required situations: thanks to a first mechanism, it tilts to almost vertical position. It can also slide to the side, which eliminates the inconvenience of the leg and offers a more comfortable workspace. Finally, both lengths of the top have a solid walnut skirting board that attaches underneath the top but can also fold down onto the top to create a groove for resting a document, for example. The whole is very playful and perfectly executed. One can admire the cast iron parts of the leg and their inscription: BREVETE sgdg AM. This proves its quality of design and craftsmanship. It is in superb condition, the walnut patina is magnificent, and this small architect's table is ideal for remote work, for example, and can easily be stored once the top is tilted. L: 86 cm. D: 50 cm. H: from 76 to 108 cm. The price is firm, thank you. Delivery in Île-de-France to your doorstep is possible for 40 euros.
