Adjustable writing table

Solid walnut writing table from the last quarter of the 19th century signed dupont. It has the particularity, thanks to a cast iron counterweight system located in the feet, of remaining stable whatever the position chosen. In fact, a double unlocking and unlocking system with brass butterflies allows the tray to be moved laterally or vertically in both directions. Furthermore, a system at the level of the barrel allows the tray to be adjusted to the desired height. In an inclined position, retractable flaps prevent documents placed on the tray from falling (50cm by 87cm). The maximum height of the tray is 113 cm and minimum 75 cm this system allows you to read sitting, standing or lying down. In addition, the saint andrew's cross foot rests on 4 almost invisible casters and supports a large turned walnut barrel.
