Pair of komainu or lion dog, ceramic, enameled, hand-painted, with a turquoise, yellow, green and gray glaze. Collectible piece from the second half of the 20th century. The function of the komainu is to protect the site, by keeping away evil. Lucky statuettes, symbol of luck, protection and prosperity.
