Pair of Master Furniture / Bedside Cabinets in Marquetry

Exceptional and elegant pair of bedside tables (or small boudoir / occasional cabinets) in Transition / Louis XV - Louis XVI style with precious wood marquetry (rosewood and satinwood). These rare and highly decorative pieces stand out for their upper compartment concealed behind a superb trompe-l'œil depicting a row of gilded antique book bindings, bringing unmatched charm and a touch of classic originality. There is a slight loss of marquetry on the top of one piece [see photo]. Overall, the condition is very good.
