Set of three solid brass candlesticks, characterised by a modular cylindrical construction and a formal balance typical of Scandinavian design from the 1970s. The stacked volumes, alternating between solid bases and slender shafts, create a sober and rigorous architectural silhouette. These models were designed in 1976 by Thelma Zoega (1922–2014), granddaughter of Carlos Zoéga, an iconic figure of the Swedish coffee house Zoégas, to mark the brand's 90th anniversary. The production took place in Sweden, in a commemorative context, explaining the presence of the engraved Zoéga marking on each piece. The set perfectly illustrates the functional Scandinavian design of the time, where geometric simplicity and material quality take precedence over any ornamentation. Sweden. 1976.
